I'm late to this thread. I was in a very similar accident on Dec. 30, 2006. Only I was in a Murano, which also protected me very well. Totalled the car, but I walked away with only a bad chest bruise .... when I eventually replaced the car, got the RDX. We had an 06 murano with all the bells and whistles. Liked it, drove smoothly. Haven't seen the 09. When it came time to get a new car, got the RDX because I wanted something different. the RDX is great (and definitely more fun), but the Murano is a well made car, too.
