RDX v. 2007 Highlander
RDX v. 2007 Highlander
A little premature, since we know little about the 2007 Highlander. However, it will have a big engine (V6 only - 280 hp) and supposed to follow the lines of the concept car, the FT-SX , which might make it very slick.
I think pricing will end fairly comparable once amenities are added, with the RDX being less than a "limited" highlander.
Thougts anyone?

The new RAV4 has a 3.5L V6 good for 269hp. Will the Highlander have an even bigger engine than that?
I see the RAV4 as the sporty offering and the Highlander as the family offering. It'll be interesting to see how Toyota positions them.

Early reports show the 07 highlander as being slightly wider, but otherwise the same dimensions as the current model. While the RAV is more comparable in size to the RDX, I think the highlander will be a better cross shop for the RDX. IE, I think I will compare the RDX with the 07 highlander, rather than the RDX with the RAV4.
