rdx release date

I ordered a RDX (white/tan no tech) around $?32,000 MSRP last month, and I can hardly wait. From the information on the web, and my dealer the release date is still set for 27 July on the East coast. Seems people further away from Ohio will have to wait until about 11 August. Sorry.
Does anyone out there have information different than this?

Am I correct to assume RDX are made in Ohio? Be good if it is!

Yes, I believe they are being made in Marysville, Ohio. The engine are being built practically in my backyard (Anna, OH).

If the release date is so close then why isn't there pricing information out yet?

Good question. Why isn't the price set yet? For me the closer to 30 the less it will hurt. I am disapointed with the MPG. I think it should be a lot higher for a 4-cyl.
When I ordered the dealer did say they are alloted 4 rdx's for the first order. Maybe some dealers are holding all of their allotment for demo, and some are selling what they have, and maybe just keep one?

The release date has been moved to August 11th for everyone I believe. I'll be attending a Ride N Drive on August 1st in the DC Area and will share my thoughts and pictures after!

Hi. flow motors winston,nc... I know it's a performance SUV, but with gas at $3.00 plus it hurts everyone at the pump no matter what you drive.
Greedy oil companys suck.

FYI - My dealer in Connecticut said he'd get the 2006 TSX at the end of October. The first one arrived in January...

As far as I know, we didn't order our first batch of cars (aug arrivals) they were assigned by Acura. The first cars to arrive that we got to choose colors on will be Septembers cars.

Howzit Colin,
Wish me luck cause if I can pick-up before 29 July I'll then drive it across country and ship to Oahu. Maybe I'll have it before the dealer on island? My fingers are crossed. Aloha

Yes, made in Ohio! So there could be an opportunity to save a bit to bring one over to Canada. I am getting excited......

On Sale Date

The official On-Sale Date is August 10, 2006.

The July 27th was the orginal release date.

The vehicles will not arrive until a couple days prior to August 10. The dealers won't be billed or have pricing on the RDX until the release date.

Would you say that is to prevent them from selling? Or a tatic used to discourage? Even if they decide to sell will a bank accept that pricing isn't set and allow financing?

It is designed to discourage DELIVERING cars. They wil surely be pre-sold prior to their arrival.

Last night on the NJ Turnpike going North around Exit 11, I saw two trailers carrying about 7 RDX's each. They were traveling around 10pm on a Saturday Night. Whats funny is that most shipments in NJ/NY come through Port Newark, so I have no clue where these RDX's came from. I tried to get close to see but they were hauling (~75-80mph). At first I thought they were BMW X3's....
