RDX new front Fascia grill

No offence to the 2010 RDX owners, but the "armor" style of the front grill, just does not work for the RDX in my personal opinion. It looks good on the MDX and TSX, but in the RDX, it looks a bit lame. JMHO, Acura should have let a good thing stick, and not change it. But I guess, like Audi, Acura wanted to have the same "corporate" face on the front of all their vehicles.

Just like a piece of clothing may look good on one guy/gal, but may look hideous on another. Same idea...

Well, everyone is due their opinion. Here is mine. When I first saw the new 2010 front end of the RDX via Internet I too was appalled. But, I have now seen a few "in person and up close" and it's actually not that bad. With that said, what DOES standout as hideous are the fake plastic grills by the fog lights. Bad, bad, bad....

Bottom line, I too still like the 2007-2009 RDX front-end better.

Yeah it is a bit lame. What does 'patch' the new look a bit is painting the chrome around the fogs black!

i dont mind the grille as much as those hideous cheapo plastic silver fog lights its just so terrible. The grille wouldnt look half bad if it actually had a rest of the front to match it....its just way too pointy and squeezed together the entire front, including the grille, looks like a beak

how... how dare you all!! lol, nah, I was leaning on an 09 (because of the front fascia) but common sense dictated to get the car with the least mileage when they were both so close in pricing.

Atleast the silver color kind of blends with the plenum beak a little more... and I completely agree about the fog light chrome highlights.... I was contemplating about sharpee "fixing" them things right out, lol.

Yep, the front has issues. None of it really works, just looks weird to me. That's why I think it needs a total overhaul. They can do much better, but they're mostly likely waiting for the current cycle to finish before making major changes, which is understandable....but in the meantime....yikes. Not a total deal breaker for me, but it does cause some hesitation.

This doesn't look bad at all....I agree, they messed it up when the fog light trim was inserted, and they put the nail in the coffin with the chrome trim.

I actually believe that the RDX can sport the Acura beak pretty well...

i honestly think they will let the RDX run its model life out - and the next iteration, whether it sports the RDX plate or something else, will come off its own line and not really be related to the CRV. Right now, the 2010 looks terrible at all angles, if it had different rims, i think the side view would remain pretty solid, but the front is so puny and small, plus the black plastic on the rear, i think this design is toast.

That was exactly what I felt regarding the small pointy "beak" like grille. That fascia works well for me with the MDX, and even on the TSX.

Everyone that saw my PWP 07 RDX always commented on how cool the RDX looks from all angles.

I just feel that putting the "armor" like grille on the 2010 RDX was an afterthought for Acura, as if it was like, oh... the MDX, TSX, etc... has it, so why not just slap something similar on the RDX, it should work...

If Acura doesn't get rid of the BEAK I'll be driving a different car brand. I love my 09 RDX, but I'd never be caught dead driving a 2010. In person they are even MORE ugly than online!

I take that back somewhat.

The ZDX and MDX look "OK" with the beak. The TL, TSX and RDX look horrible.

I did see just the beak chromed on a TL and it did look better simply because it matched the rest of the chrome trim on the car rather than being a dull cheap looking gray plastic.

Here is a pic of one.

i think the TSX looks the best out of all their cars. Its the most neutral, it has the most unoffensive stance, regular appearance, and i think it looks much better than the TL with less surface area on the nose. My only gripe with the TSX is the tail.

The MDX/ZDX are a close second. After that, the TL, RL and RDX look like plain shit. I think the RDX looks the absolute worst among the models, not just talking about the grille here, but its grille too looks the worst, with such a gaping overbite, the plastic just hangs out in open air. whats the point of all this. go back to basics, if Acura even has those left.

I wonder if the 2007-2009 front grill could fit a 2010 one. anyone seen one side by side.

I like the 2010 RDX Front

Call me crazy but I like the 2010 front end, so I bought one. Really did not like the earlier models so I went new vs. used. The interior seems to be a bit nicer as well.

I did buy a 2008 TL because I really did not like the looks or the increased size of the 2009 TL. The looks are growing on me, but I like the TSX better. To bad the back seat is so cramped.

I wouldn't call you crazy. I also like the look of the front end. I prefer it to the other years. That's why I bought an 2010.
To each there own!

For once, I do not feel bad for not having an older pre-facelifted model.
