Guys,
I was reading the manual and just realized that I may not have gotten a key number tag when I got my RDX. What does this tag look like? All I got are 3 keys (2 with remote transmitters) and one valet key (Light Grey). How do I now go about getting this key number tag?

What is the number tag for?

 

It's the number that needs to be used to program your remote or your transponder should you lose your keys or just want a new set of keys. It's on page 122 to 123 of the Rdx manual. Note this key number tag seems to be diff fm the security code for the audio system which I have... Hmmm maybe it's not as important? I doubt my dealer would forget to give me such a tag.

 

update: dealer mentioned this isnt really necessary as all one needs is the serial number and they can cut the key/transponder for you. i guess this thread becomes FYI only now. thanks!

 

^^ great! Yea I assume they have all the necessary tools to look all that information up with just your VIN.
