RDX highly probably replacement for the minican(Boston Members please read)

Hey everyone. I guess my mother is thinking of buying an RDX around november to replace her minivan. I am going to be honest, I want/ed the 07 MDX but It appears to be out of her price range, and she wants something more sporty and nimble.

Anyway, we would be getting it with the tech package of course, and I like Carbon Grey/Ebony(I chose the colors for the TL, so I imagine I will be choosing these too).

Anyone else going to the Acura of Boston RDX Turbobash August 23? If my parents can't make it, I'm gonna drive the TL down' there and do some research on their behalf.

I'll keep you guys posted. For now I will take a look around this section.

The typo in the title gave me a good laugh - reading quickly through it I thought you wanted to upgrade your minicam(corder) with the backup camera on the RDX. Now that's an upgrade!

I assume your mother doesn't need 7 passenger seating and likes techology gadgets. If she wants something sporty and nimble the RDX would be a fine choice.

I'm in LA so won't be there but have fun at the Turbobash on Aug 23 - RDX is a good ride.

Minican was an intentional typo

It looks like a great vehicle, of course I'm going to duke it out with our sales person. Maybe I'm twisted in my own mind, but I am going to try to shoot for invoice, and I think I have a real shot. My dealership basically tries to move the amount of cars of the year it is(2006, etc), they instantly agreed to below invoice on the TL, no argument whatsoever.

I really am a little ticked over the manual passenger seat and no driver memory seat, along with the autodimming mirror as an option, but besides that, if I can get it for around what we paid for the TL, I'll be happy.

You definitely should go for invoice. If you're going for the Tech package, I'd be surprised if you can get the RDX today for what you paid for your TL unless you loaded the TL.

Yah, the lack of a extras you mention are a little disappointing, but if you want it in '07 that's the breaks.

Semper Fi!

Invoice?

What exactly is invoice on the RDX? I haven't been able to find a figure for that. Everything I've seen (and heard) is that they are selling these cars at MSRP. Is that what you are willing to pay? Have you started getting pricing yet? Would love to hear your experience - in boston as well

there is now way youre going to get invoice or any discount on the RDX. The new england acura dealers have all agreed not to discount for a 3 month minimum and if it continues to sell they wont have incentive to lower the price if there are plenty of people willing to pay list (like me)

where did you hear "three months"? I heard the opposite -- sales have not been as brisk as expected and they want to get more on the road so they might be negotiable in the fall (especially when 07 X3s come out)

It's been out for a week, how can they already think that sales aren't going well? At least around me, that doesn't seem to be the case... you have to order, they're all pre-sold.
