RDX arrived!
I just went to connoly acura and saw and sat in the rdx....It feels very much like an updated TL interior but higher up. Definetly not at all like my wifes 05 CRX Limited. I have a 10am testdrive tomorrow. Gotta see how it drives before I can really commit to it. + the sales guy said the lease program info wont be available til thursday. He said the accessory fuse want installed so i couldnt turn it on but the base model dash looks exactly the same as the tech...same screen not cheapo like the base TL
So both Herb Connoly Acura and Acura of Boston have their RDX's?? My dealer is Clair Acura... do you think they will get their RDX's this week as well? And how did the rdx feel in size compared to your Crv. Thanks -- Jeremy
I bet clair got them today as well...looks like they each got 2 for test drives and the rest come in thursday. I was surprised how small the rdx looks from the outside. Its little! The interior is very sedan like unlike my crv...perhaps duw to the full center console on the rdx. Seat appeared to be the same as the TL. lots of storage cubbyholes and pockets. The interor dims are probably the same as my crv though I'm not sure why the rdx doesnt get reclining backseats like my crv...not that i ever sit in back but it seem like a nice feature.
Thanks for the info.... when you say the rest come Thursday does that mean the preordered cars because we have a deposit on one and are in the first shipment of cars. Does that mean we may have our car by the end of the week??
Well I hope so...But cant confirm. the sales guy said they would be onsale on thursday and that would be when they have the lease program info as well. He confirmed that there were several other colors in transit

I've got RDX! Black/Ebony Tech Package is on the ground right now! Went to the Ride & Drive in Orlando yesterday. Drive this vehicle! We compared it to the X3 and it blew it away in every category! One of the most amazing vehicles I've ever driven. Get your name on a list, put your deposits down, do whatever you can to get this vehicle! It's worth it.

It was out back...salesdroid said it's for sale (carbon Bronze with Tech) due to a cancelation.
I sat in it, and had plenty of room.(I'm 6'8", 240) Salesdroid said it'd be ready for driving tomorrow.
On a side note...Clair is INUNDATED with MDXs, with more in the secondary lot by the Norwood Airport. They will also give good deals on RLs(sales guy said)

I just returned from a nice drive in the RDX at my local Acura dealership (Gatorland in Gainesville if anyone lives nearby), and I have to say I'm more than impressed. The car is, as the others said, beautiful in person. It looks very much like a low station wagon and not so much like a happy, round mini-SUV. Even at high speeds (80mph) the RDX is amazingly quiet - even by sedan standards - and feels very hunkered down. For all its solidness, though, it's very tossable around corners, and acceleration rolling through a corner is very responsive. As had been the concern, there is a lack of very low end power, particularly coming right off a light, but rolling acceleration is impressive, and 40-60 passing acceleration was responsive and more than adequate. Handling was very impressive, and I had a chance to really give SH-AWD a workout. There's a touch of body roll but nothing too severe. . . I'd say it's remarkably flat through the corners and very surefooted. I think anything you'd attempt in a TL would be happily conquered by the RDX. Also, as I'm the one who started the whole revolt about the auto-dimming rear view mirror, I'd like to point out something on the list of safety features: "Day/night rearview mirror." Regretfully, I did not pay terribly close attention to the mirror while I was in the car, but I can confidently say that I saw neither the light sensor characteristic of an autodimming mirror nor the flip switch on manual mirrors. So, it looks like it's autodimming after all. . . maybe. I'm getting kind of tired of typing by now, so feel free to ask any further questions you might have. . . the car sure is a blast to drive!
I just drove a base model at boston acura. I like the rdx very much..it was sporty, felt like my TL and I'm even prepared to pay list. HOWEVER, They showed me the inventory list and every single one of the rdx's slated for Aug and all but one for september have "accessory" packages added on which wont be removed. Further more the cheapest pkg is $1300 which includes all weather mats, wheel locks, cargo mat, splash guard...which I and I'm sure many of you had thrown in for free when we got out TL's. I refuse to pay $1300 for accessories that I dont want and are worth only several hundred dollars. If Other dealers try this slimy technique to extract even more cash from us early adopters...they can keep their rdx...I'll move on to something else. I hope connoly acura has something better to offer me on thursday..CSarge if you're reading this...

If you can wait 6 months to a year, the same dealer will be throwing those accessories in for free if you are willing to pay MSRP. There is a cost associated with being the first one on the block to have a popular new car. Good luck either way.

AoB dealership would have had my business with my second RSX/S(05) as well, but they hid my keys on me when we were in the "negotiation" phase. Funny how quickly they were "found" when you the police were called.
I do have a deposiet on an rdx at connoly acura in framingham. The sales manager there Chris Sargent was very nice and I hope to do business with them tomorrow. Of course without the pkg deal that acura boston is offering. The all weather mats did look nice though completely fitted to the interior, I would consider getting them alone at a later time. All in all I really liked the rdx...it was very cool

I drove one today after waiting a year and a half and was underwhelmed. It drove ok and looked ok, but neither was great. Back seat should recline it doesn't, storage comp. only opens toward driver, pass. cannot get in. I didn't like the wine of the engine, or the lag.I can get by with no self dimming mirror, and I can get by without memory seats or power seat for pass. But I certainly couldn't make a decision on a $40,000 car in the 15 minutes I was allowed to drive it in. I told the salesman I needed more time than that in the vehicle, he said that was impossible because this (rdx) was in such high demand! Could be months he said, ok I said I'll wait three months. Oh, he said it could be much longer than that. Because this car is special, he was surprised they were letting anyone drive it because of its high demand, they just usually sold them (the high demand ones) without a test drive. Really? Sad to say not the first time I heard this nonsense. I said oh well and went a!
nd looked at an infinity vex 35. Well they leased me one for a year for $299 (plus tx $318). So I have a year to look. It does take corners well, it is comfortable and lots of nice toys. Just underwhelming. Like the salesman!
