Precautions on the new car
Hi guys,
I am a first time buyer of a new car.I bought an acura rdx 2008 last week.I am just looking for some precautions i should take. Can I do a regular car wash in the regular car wash centers or should I be doing it myself.
Thanks
Kamal

There's a wash and wax section in "off topic" all of your answers can be found there. I'd guess most of the members here wash there own cars. If you do use a "regular car wash" I would always go with the "touchless".
Definitely go with the touchless car wash if you're going to use one but I would recommend hand-washing it.
I've found that the silver painted door handles are easily scratched so watch out if you rub anything harsh up against it.
Also, I just noticed recently that if I unbuckle my seat belt and just let it retract back by itself the metal latch hits the plastic part of the car by the door and dings the plastic. So now I retract it slowly and have no problems.
Lastly, spend time getting to know the GPS. So many people have complained on these forums about how bad the GPS is because, in my opinion, their not using it correctly. I'm talking specifically when you're trying to search for things. Just play around with it and get to know how it works.
Congrats and good luck with your new car. I've had my Tech for 2 months now and still look forward to driving it everyday. The sound system is awesome!
