possibly maybe - rid of rdx 2k8 to a 2010 mdx/zdx

I'm going to look @ vehicles this weekend or next weekend.
Might possibly move on to the MDX(if they have) or ZDX - certified.
Pro's & con's people?
Your opinion

ZDX Tech - 38k - cert preowned
MDX tech - just about the same(if they have that is).
Or mDX 2k11 NEW w/ tech.

My RDX has 42k .
Sigh*, I love it, but just need a new transition. Once going into a CUV/SUV, can't go back to a TSX/TL/RL lowered height car.

Opinions people!

MDX if you need the room

I like the ZDX but saw review that the back seat and truck space is smaller than the RDX.
If I had the extra $$$ - I would have gotten the MDX.

MDX drives like a brick chimney. If your going to spend that much money, kick in another $10K and get a Cayenne.

MDX over the ZDX for me....I don't really think the ZDX is a useful car, so if you need/want a toy go for the ZDX, if not MDX.
Driving them should/must be different, favoring the ZDX in the fun department, but that car only fits 4 and has a tiny trunk

The ZDX for me would be a great car if it was just the wife and I. It might work as a second car if we had a RDX or MDX as the utility vehicle. The ZDX is really made for a family of two to be comfortable.

I posted our initial road trip review on the ZDX forum: https://acurazine.com/forums/zdx-326/2010-zdx-road-trip-807805/. What we said then still holds a month or so later. If you have two people and do some cruising, the ZDX can't be beat. Cheaper and better than the competition:BMW X-6. Have a family and looking for a sexy MDX? This is not for you: limited seating and limited luggage space. Acura put the ZDX out there as a "working concept" not a family hauler, IMHO.

2 totally different rides, both great at what they do. make your decision with what you want, cant go wrong with either. Although, the new MDX was taken a few notches down in the latest C&D comparo....if the ZDX were faster, id say no matter what go with it. But honestly, the MDX, imo, gives you more for less, and the ZDX isnt as sharp to the eye to buy on valet cachet or lux appeal...so whats really left? a true premium interior...after that?

new tranny on the RDX? wtf is up with that one....ahh did i read wrong or maybe you had a typo lol transition or transmission hahah

I loved my RDX's but the deal we got on a ZDX Tech, $16,000 off, the Acura plus warranty no extra charge, plus I bartered in brand new Michelin snows at no extra charge. It is shorter on carrying room than the RDX but has not been an issue to date. There is only my wife and our two smaller dogs so for us it works just fine. Not an MDX but then we don't need the space the MDX has to offer.
The ride is great, the stereo system unbelievable, enough power for me, handles well, enough bells and whistles for my taste and the gas mileage is pretty close to the RDX in day to day driving and much better on the highway.
