Pics of Cool License Plate Frame

I'm trying to decide what type of license plate frame to get for my new RDX. Anyone got any ideas/pictures?

Did you get a truck tag or a regular one? I just got my plates this week and it was not a truck tag. Are you protesting??

I went with none.

To keep it quiet when I close the back, I put a few felt protectors on the back side of the plate.

Mine's a regular one. What good does the truck tag do?

I'm in TX where we have specific 'truck' tags as well. My RDX did not qualify apparently as a truck either...

Target/auto parts stores sell tinted plate covers that look kind of cool. I have that on mine.

License plate covers are illegal in many states, especially the tinted ones. The department stores say they are selling them "for off-road use only".

License Plate Frame

I have been looking for a license plate frame or really a backing plate that will serve as a handle also. One would make it a lot easier to close the rear door without touching the paint. Mercedes sells one but it is basically a 6 or 7 inch long stainless angle piece that is made to be bolted under the lower two license plate holes. Since the RDX only uses the top two holes to bolt the license plate on, it is not useable on the RDX. ( I can post picture if someone will tell me how.) Anyone seen any thing useable for this purpose?

I just pull down on the handle inside the hatch and it closes everytime. I never have to touch the paint or anywhere outside the vehicle.

I don't think the license plate screw mounts would hold securely enough for any kind of handle.

I just pull down on the interior handle until I can see the exterior of the tailgate, then I just push down with my hand ON the license tag--no toucha da paint!
