Honda calls it a Data Link Connector (DLC). It is under the driver's side lower panel, just above the parking brake.

Note this caution from the RDX service manual:

If you are using a generic scan tool to clear commands (DTCs), be aware that it clears all commands at the same time; crank pattern learn, idle learn, readiness codes, freeze data, on-board snapshot, and DTCs. After you clear all commands, you then need to do these procedures in this order: PCM idle learn procedure, crank pattern learn procedure, and test drive to set readiness codes.
If you are using a Honda Diagnostic System scanner, it gives you the option of DTC clear, PCM reset and crank pattern clear separately.

Thanks for the warning! Obviously the RDX is still under warranty, so I'll leave any diagnostics to the dealer.

Don't worry....

You are not going to do any harm to the car, even with a non-Honda scanner. There's a reason there's a standard and easy access to the port, because you should have the option to NOT have to go to the dealer and a scanner can help check the basics. I happen to use an Auto Xray, which is a good scanner, all the time on the car, just to check the basics like fuel trims and O2 sensors, etc. The only way you are going to do any harm is to do something stupid like stick some paperclips in there and short it out.

Here's the one I use:

I use the 5000 model, because it lets me upgrade it for free every year to keep up with new cars that come out [like the RDX, I bought this tool about 4 years ago before it existed]

My DLC does not power up the OBD II meter. We tried the OBD on a different viecle and it powers up. I have a acura 1997 cl 3.0 and the connector is behind the ashtray. The cigerette lighter has not worked for about seven years(never could find the fuse for it and since I dont smoke never looked well) . What should I be looking for, someone metioned a fuse, but I have no idea which one or if its under the hood or under the dash board. Any ideas? Thanks
