No windshield washer fluid light on U.S. models...
So this is the first time I ran out of washer fluid in my car and is it true that the U.S. versions have no warning that your washer fluid is running low but Canadian models do (page 342 of '08 RDX manual)?
WTF is the point of making this difference between U.S. and Canadian models? Please tell me that I'm missing something in my U.S. '08 RDX? Is this really snowy weather this is when a signal like that can come in really handy when you're traveling so much.

I'm not sure it is a Honda thing. I've had a Civic and Accord in the U.S. and always had a washer fluid indicator. Just really odd that something that's already built in one model just wouldn't carry over to another model. The manufacturing cost can't be that much more...in fact I think overall it would cost more to have two different models than just one.
Oh well...just a bummer and another oversight of the RDX (i.e. auto passenger seat, auto headlights.). But don't get me wrong, still love the baby since I got it in April. And now that I've driven it in the snow I really value the baby.

There are probably lots of little differences between Canada and USA safety and anti-pollution requirements. Instead of putting everything into both country's cars, it is probably cheaper for Acura to make different models for each country.

The washer fluid level indicator is a feature that my cheap ass Dodge had 20 years ago - that I really miss. It was EXTREMELY convenient, and I'm also stupified that it was included on the Canadian edition, and not in the US.

I know my 2001 Acura CLS does not have washier fluid indicator, but the manual mentions: "If you have canadian model, there is a washier fluid indicator". So apparently Honda does not want to put them in US...

russianDude - the thing is my 1997 Honda Civic had the indicator in it. So somewhere along the way they changed up things. Very weird. Not sure about Hondas today.

That light is annoying anyway. It usually chimes on and off about 20 times in a 30 minute commute. Really don't know why they just don't keep the light on once it gets tripped the first time.
