NitPicks!
OK so I'm right about 1750miles and I really haven't found too many things that bother me that much. But - here goes...
Center Console - When we were orignally looking at the RDX, I was really bothered by it opening to the side. I would think that passengers have to be super tall in order to have ANY ease of accessing this compartment. (neither of us are) As it turns out, although I still think they should change this opening in newer models to come, in reality, it hasn't really turned out to be that much of an issue for me.
Rear Cargo Light - if you can call it that! It took us forever to find the thing with the privacy shield down its impossible dark and difficult to locate. Turn the light on in hope for illumination to the space and one is greatly disappointed. Not only is it not bright enough but IMO the location is not adequate to light up the area.
Tailpipe Chrome - Someone mentioned this in another thread. I was disappointed when I went out to look and found that I too have small orangish spots of degradation. Anyone know why or how to fix this/prevent it from happening further?
Tech Auxillary Jack - As long as I'm at it, I guess a little would've been nice can't hurt. I would LOVE if this would charge my ipod simultaneously while playing as opposed to having to use the plug in the center console for charging purposes.
That's it! At least that's all that's jumping out at me at the moment. I really do LOVE my RDX and am still thrilled with my purchase. I don't recall ever doing this much research into an auto purchase before and I am so glad I did. This car rocks!

I agree with the center console, but then again it's really for me as the driver anyway. The passenger has the glove box, I guess. I've only got a little over 100 miles on mine since I got it on the 22nd, so I'm sure I'll find more things to complain about.

I love the car too, but here are my rants:
1) seems trivial, but I wish the remote lock/unlock buttons were located differently or were different in size /tactile nature so I can tell if I'm locking or unlocking it in the dark. It seems I just randomly press each one five times to see what happends.
2) wish I could "pop" the trunk with the key...darn, I miss that in my old taurus (that's all I miss w/ that car) wish I had a flat panel screen TV in the back too...but wish lists can get stupid
3) Nav system, is bothersome with limited vocabulary. I'm sure it's my fault it doesn't understand "turn the radio on" In defense, though, it seems to get it on the second or third try.
4) wish the radio wasn't interrupted by silly voice system cues like ("get your briefcase off the passengerside seat so the child who isn't there doesn't get killed") also wish there was a B slap button to mute it for short periods so I can navigate without her telling me when to turn...ect (can't hear the awesome stereo)
5) roof rack with nice adjustable/lockable sliding cross bars.

mickie, the buttons are slightly different -- one concave the other convex. I think of the concave one as pressing a lock button down, and the convex one as popping a lock button up. I agree they could have distinguished them even better though.
When using the key in the door lock, I remember to turn counterclockwise (left) for locking: left = L = "Lock", and then of course the other direction is unlock (do it twice for all doors). Yes, I am a lame brain.
My nitpicks:
1) need brighter lighting in the cargo area (probably more an issue on ebony interiors). I hope to improve this somehow (maybe wire an additional light in the circuit).
2) the interior lights shut off after a few minutes if the doors are left open. This is very annoying when I am loading up the car at night for a ski trip -- I have to keep pressing the door open switch on the door jamb every so often to make it think a door was opened and closed, so that the light comes back on. My Subaru would wait a good 20-30 minutes before disabling the light automatically.
3) wish racks were standard and not a pricey option, but not a big deal since not everyone wants racks
4) cargo area shelf is right where my head wants to be all the time. It hurts!
5) keyless remote is too big. They definitely could have made it smaller
6) lack of seat memory (if only so that I can change the position temporarily and then easily go back to my default preference).
7) lighting on steering wheel controls is too dim, noticeably darker than dash controls
8) 12V outlet below radio is in a bad location -- anything plugged in there blocks the cup holder
9) wish the rear seats folded flat in one step like other vehicles, without filling the footwell space
10) wish there were more utility storage area in rear cargo area, say under the floor or on the sides (my Subaru had a couple compartments on the sides, and more room under the floor).

2. I think you can just switch the interior light switch on and it will stay on for a while. More than 3 mins anyway.
4. what does this mean? why does your head want to be in the cargo area?

This is one of mine. My phone charger is very large at the base and it gets in the way of the cup holder. I don't like putting it in the center console because it is a pain to get to when it rings while driving. As soon as I make up my mind about a blue tooth phone, I guess this issue will resolve itself and I can charge the phone off the outlet in the center console.
Agree with most of the items above as "nice-to-have", but nothing really life-altering.
The two that I would like to see, purely as a "design upgrade" and not a new feature would be as follows:
1. Centre console lid (as previously mentioned). Great for the driver, terribly inconvenient for the passenger. Given the size of the lid, I don't like the thought of it opening to the rear... maybe a 50/50 sideways opening like the MDX. (make it inconvenient for everyone.
)
2. Trunk hatch. In the open position, it is just high enough (for me at 6'1") to inflict some serious damage if I'm not paying attention. I'd like to see it open an inch or two higher (which will still clear the overhead pipes in the condo garage).
Everything else, such as memory seats and keyless ignition, is pay-to-play... I've never had it on a car, so I don't "need" it.

Where did you get those lights -- auto parts store? I may check that out this afternoon.
#2 -- yeah, I suppose I should switch the light on permanently in those situations, just seems like the light should stay on longer when a door remains open.
#4 -- bending over to load the car, or sitting on the back bumper while putting on shoes, ski boots, etc. The shelf is always at head level. No sweat when I bash it with my ski helmet on, but other times it hurts to smack it!

Oh I understand the cargo lid thing now. My mind wasn't in the right perspective. I pictured you sitting in your car hitting your head on it from like the back seat or something.... I hardly have the cargo cover on, it is usually down on the floor as I many times have my dog back there, or my hockey bag which is just too tall to fit under it.
Nitpick #11 -- I wish there was a way to turn on the beep when the remote is used to lock the doors. I know you can make it beep if you press lock a second time in 5 seconds, but it would be nice to get a beep on the first press. It's a pain to look at the lights for a confirmation every time.

Any way to turn of the control freak?

It works very well, once you learn the commands ... you can do most things via voice.

So -- does double tapping fire the locks twice, or merely just beep the second time around?

They sell there right now for $6ea; $17 for a 3-pack; $38 6-pack
They come in various colors.
I bought a 3 pack. Thanks Sasair

Press 2: Beeps
Pretty confident that it does not fire locks on the second press... I'll have to check tonight now that the sliver of doubt is there... *L*
Of course, if you wait 30 seconds then repeat the process, the locks will still fire on the first press.

Double tap: Locks, then beeps.
Press, pause, press: Locks, then Locks/Beeps.
The mechanism does not fire the second time because the double-tap is quicker than the time it takes to cycle the locks again. Sounds like it just holds the relay open an extra second.
works for me.

Of course, the first few times I tried to demonstrate it I would say "Say time" or something like that and it would work only 1/3 tries. I guess it was funnier for my friends to hear me say "Say time" and have the car respond "Air Conditioner On" or something, but now that I've learned the canonical form of the command it works 100%.
Although it can still be a problem if one of the passengers doesn't understand that I'm talking to the car (I usually don't tell them what is about to happen for added shock value) and they answer me - which can confuse the car trying to understand my command. :-(
Here's something thats been bugging me and I failed to think of it the first time around. It seems as though I must be doing something wrong with the nav screen when trying to find specific nearby locations. I'm hoping that someone has some insight as to why 3/4 of the time it shows me places out in the midwest or california when I am in the NE!?!

1. M My Ford Explorer had an aftermarket sun roof that would close automatically 5 seconds after the turning the car off. It could be disabled by pressing the open/close switch with before auto-close engaged. After 8 years of an auto close sunroof Its going to be hard to remember to close the RDX roof!
2. Auto-on lights. Again another Ford feature I will miss.
3. My driver side door keypad. Another Ford feature. However these can be purchased as an aftermarket item.
4. An option to display incoming calls on the NAV screen in the case a passenger pairs their phone to the hands free system.
5. A voice command button for front and/or rear passengers.

I also have replaced the bulb in the back with a high power LED and it doesn't help any. Cooloer color but thats about it.

1) remote lock/unlock buttons drive me nutts as I cant tell if I'm locking or unlocking it in the dark. It seems I just randomly press each one five times to see what happends.

3) Nav system never understands me, especially when I am trying to show it off to a passenger! i I speak very clear north east english
4) wish the radio wasn't interrupted by silly voice system cues
5) roof rack with nice adjustable/lockable sliding cross bars as standard - cant beilve how much extra I paid!!! - altough made dealer pay
6) Center console lid to heavy
7)Smaller Key
8) very dark in cargo area. I had a light like this one in a 65 VW
Wish racks were standard and not a pricey option,
9)Wish there were more utility storage areas in rear cargo and in front – large console is nice but not much utility - no CD case holders (I know dont really need them, and no storage compartment in back???. At least older cars had ash tray to put stuff. Much cheaper cars have a lot more in this respect.
10) Hot" electrical outlet as long as I dont drain batt - allready did that the first day playing with everything
11) Tail pipe corrosion first week
12) Gear shift alignment – seem to always put into natural and not D or R
13) short wheelbase creates lots of bumps in the road!!
and others
