New CRV announced

brand new CRV announced for the coming model year (fall 12). Guess what that probably means...also Acura making cosmetic alterations, already, to the TL. Change of direction?? are they finally getting it?? Im very anxious to see what this means for any future RDX vehicle or replacement.

i am now a fan of the NEW TL!

this is an RDX board, but check it out. http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=958088

Downshifts from 5 to 3, finalllllly more luxury features (ventilated seats) acura may be getting it!! 20/29 mpg, and BASE rims that dont look like rental-fleet design!!!!

this is promising for a formidable RDX replacement!

hmmm. better "smiley" grill for sure but still a tad too much "chrome" on the upper lip. hope it's not as "dead" steering feel wise as the 2010 model.

I like the toned down grill on the new TL. The RDX looks could improved with the same type of grill.

The major change I want with the new RDX is an updated interior like the ZDX. Maybe some extras like cooled seats, 6 way powered passenger seat, 6AT, and power rear hatch.

I'm cool with the size and weight of the current RDX. The RDX might drop in the "fun to drive" factor if it put on more weight (with the same engine).

I foresee a K24 with around 200 hp like the TSX + ~40-50hp of IMA for the new RDX. Fuel economy is a huge deal these days.

If that happens (ZDX features in the RDX) I will buy it without question. However it MUST have things like the panoramic moonroof, cooled seats, power liftgate, mult-view rear view camera, keyless access, etc.

If this happens, then I'll buy the higher model w/ the larger engine or take it out of consideration. My cousins RDX engine sounds sporty (though not as refined as my 3.5L V6). However, I didn't like the sound of the TSX engine when my friend was driving us around, I don't see an IMA system helping for anything ecept for the gas mileage. I'll gladly pay for performance and the horrible gas mileage that comes with it.. unless gas is like $7 (over double what I pay now).

nope no k24 for rdx. it will be a j35 v6. the new nsx will also be using the j37 v6 and it will be based on the accord chasis. i heard thr nsx will also be a hybrid similar to the crz.

for real? if so, am ditching my plans to buy another vehicle for now and wait for the v6 "rdx" in, i presume 2013? im leaning to an mdx for now if i need to purchase the vehicle within this year or the next... (though your suggestion of honda accord coupe sounds good too in my question in another thread).
