2 comments - I was at Ikea the other day and a avg sized Billy bookcase doesn't fit! ( had to take it out of the box as it comes in 4' x 8' x 2" thick box. I didn't know you can program it to talk French Canadian. How often does it say Eh? ( just kidding)

The guy was complaining about fuel economy, but he says it got between 23-27 mpg? Is that bad???

Thats great, almost to good to be true. He probably converted from liter to mpg wrong. I dont speak in liters!

I got it, he was showing MPG (imperial) which is different than MPG in the states. I did the conversion and he was getting between 19-25.7 MPG. Still, I think that's good.

Under the driving conditions he describes I doubt he'd get better than 15mpg

I wish the auther had given the model number or speed rating of the Blizzaks - the Blizzak line comes in several flavors from H rated performance snow tires to Q rated light truck versions. If I'm going to get some winter tires for the mountains I'd like to get the performance version and feel like it will be as sure-footed as the article talks about.

They had Bridgestone Blizzak DM-Z3, same as the ones I am running.

How much did you pay for those tires in BC? Did you buy separate rims?

I would have been interested to see how the author would have made out without the Blizzaks. We have had a ton, I mean a ton of snow in Saskatoon and the stock Michelins have been excellent. Never even came close to getting stuck.

I paid $265.00 ea. installed. They were very scarce when I got them in November and the Michelin X-ice weren't available in an appropriate size let alone stock size. I used the OEM rims as I am going to get some new rims this spring for non winter use, just haven't figured out which ones yet.
