Good catch. We'll be sure to watch that episode. It'll be an interesting comparison with the CX-7.

If the RDX will be showing up in showrooms late July, we can expect that every major car magazine and automotive television program will be getting their hands on an "early production model" for their first drives by next month. My guess is that the July issues of Road and Track, Car and Driver and Motor Trend will probably all have "first drive" discussions if not full road tests of the RDX. Then the fun will begin. The magazines will all tempt us with "estimated" MSRP and gush praise over the RDX's handling.

Or even better the mags will skip the "Full tests" and move right to the comparisons. Maybe against the CX-7, X3, FX35 and Mercury version of the Ford Edge??Originally Posted by hondamore

I was just talking to someone from the engine plant and they haven't even started "full production" yet. I don't know exactly what that means, but it makes it seem like July is unlikely for the car to be in showrooms, doesn't it? Or is that normal for them to have cars out there before full production? Just thought I'd throw that out.

Full production ramp up should take no more a couple weeks once the new dies and castings have been put in place and everything is prepared. I wouldn't be surprised if full production didn't begin till about June.

I watched the show this morning on PBS Spokane. Not an in depth segment. Nothing we don't already know. Nice to see the car on tv though. It does look good.Originally Posted by batman
