Moding an 07 to 08

I know mostly anything is possible in a vehicle for $$, but, would adding the memory seat and possible bluetooth be an option for a dealer to do? I am going to ask my dealer when my car goes back the end of this week

They made HFL Standard on the Base model, and the price went up a little.

- Auto-dim mirror standard
- Multi-information Display in base model to complement HFL (I think?)
- XM radio in Canadian models

Adding the switch to the door panel would be the easy part.

The wire harnesses may be more problematic. In the 2007 RDX Service Manual both the Driver Door Wire Harness (pg 22-44) and the Driver Seat Wire Harness (pg 22-50) do not show any unused or future use wiring or terminals for seat memory. Nor does the Power Seat circuit diagram (pg 22-320).

Let us know what the dealer says.

I remember when Volvo added AUX in capability's to 07 models, and left he 04.5-06 owners high and dry, and someone suggested that we switch the center stack, but that would not be possible because the ECU was completely different, I'm guessing the same here with the memory seats.

Memory seats? Holy s**t are Americans getting this lazy or what? Power seats are not enough for us? Oh, pressing that power seat button to adjust for our seat comfort is so much work. Oh oh I'm breaking out in a sweat pressing the button. I'm out of breath!

Well I think the memory seats are more of a comfort thing, because when someone drives your car, or a car wash or whoever moves the seat, you might have a hard time finding where you originally where sitting, or getting comfortable.

+1.

Memory seats are definitely a plus when the car's being shared. Drove me nutty when I was driving the family car. Every time I hopped in, I had to fiddle for a minute or two to find the sweet spot before taking off.

if I'm not mistaken the memory seats not only control the seats but the mirrors and radio station too. Is that correct in the 08s?

Glad to see they now have memory seats. I was a little disappointed that my 07 RDX didn't have this feature when I got rid of my 04 TL that had them for the RDX.

Back to the OP question, even though I think the memory seats are really nice to have I don't think it would be worth your time or money to try and convert it.

Yeah I don't think the memory functions are possible, because it's all tied into the Electrical brain of the car.
