Misc Comments, Test Drive/Price/E-Brake
I'm an 05 Toy Rav4 (L) owner upgrading to RDX (tech), pick up tomorrow. Have some misc comments to offer based on threads I've read..
Dealer in CT did not charge a dealer mark up but refused to discount retail of 37.1k. Tech package selling well in this area, no shortage of buyers. Base models collecting dust, plenty of them on the lot, compared to very few tech models.
Coming from the Rav4, test drive is impressive. Power and handling night and day difference. The most striking thing for me was the sudden burst of power that follows the slight turbo lag. Ride noise reasonable and far improved over the Rav4. Braking not as good as Rav4.
One thing I did not like was the placement of emergency brake. I could be wrong but it seems like if a serious accident occured it could easily strike the left leg. Anyone else have a thought on this?
