Looking for a better deal than $1k over invoice on an '08.
Are dealers willing to go for less than $1k over invoice giving the state of the ecomony and consumer spending money on small ticket items for X-Mas vs a large priced item like a car?

Anything over invoice is a positive for the RDX. Don't be too easy on the fact that you wil go as far as 1k over inv. Try $500 below as the BS offer and see the reaction; remember there's about 3% holdback, so they should have room to work with.
If you give them an offer of 1k over invoice, I am sure they will close the deal, unless they are selling like hot cakes in that dealership, and customers are paying way above this amount, which I doubt.
Fortunately, 08s were on the way, so 07s were old news; I got mine for 1k below invoice, from an internet salesman.

Most dealers will NOT negotiate Holdback.. just a heads up.
A generally good deal is usually around 300-500 above invoice (less any factory incentives)... anything more is excessive in my books.
Don't expect to go below invoice unless there is some sort of cashback deal from the factory. It's simple business economics.

The RDX is NOT that special to be unsucessful in obtaining near invoice-pricing. If you were in the process of purchasing the 335i coupe, then I understand the markup, over MSRP, or the Audi S5. The RDX is definately neogotiable, and it can definately be sold at near invoice-or-below pricing.

Keep devaluing the products guys!
I hate to say it, but if everyone keeps thinking you can buy vehicles for under invoice than your just going to cheapen the product. $500 - $1000 over invoice is fair. No self respecting dealer will negotiate any type of hold back. The RDX is worth the prices it's at. I'm not telling anyone to pay sticker price, but asking for below invoice pricing is ridicules.
Hell look at Saturn, they sell at sticker. You don't ask for a discount, you see the price you buy it. Well unless they have a sale, or close out on end of year.
Acura is a much better company to buy from. The product is solid, and damn fun to drive.

I bought my 2008 base for $31250
Invoice 30505
Dest charge 715
Total = 31220 (invoice + dest charge)
It means I paid $30 over invoice.
So, invoice prices are possible.
