Is there a bulb in the console that lights the little plastic bubbles by the shift lever?

 

Yes, remove the 2 silver trim pieces on the side of the console and then pull up on the shifter gear indicator and then turn it sideways to access the bulb. I took the interior out of my 2010 RDX to put down sound deadoning a few weeks ago and that's what I remember of the bulb location.

When you take out the silver side trim pieces pull them up from the back part and then towards the back of the RDX to remove them.

 

Thank you for the info. I finally got around to tearing into this and have the bulb out. I’ll stop in Advance on my way to work tomorrow and see if they’ve got a replacement. By the way, I had a Trans Am back in the day. 1971 455HO, 4-speed with only 44,000 miles. Drove it like an idiot and didn’t have it long. Sure miss that one.
