How is 2012 Factory ECU tune diff from 07 - 11?
Been looking at some CPO '12 but then discovered Hondata Reflash doesn't cover this M.Y. Hondata confirmed this is due to the '12 tune being different, anyone know how it's different? I test drove a '12 couple weeks back; while I noticed more lag at onset, it did feel almost like mine (2007 w/ Reflash) once turbo fully spool'ed up. Why would Honda do this for one year?

Well I hope that's not true or damn them for doing a superficial change. Now I have to pay a truck load for a separate ECU or pay 400 more for something I'll never make full use of. I just need the damn base flash and I'm happy enough.

Got my current reflash through K Series Parts; when I go to their site and enter 2012, only FlashPro comes up, but Flashpro and reflash show up for 2011 and earlier. I have an email into them to see if I can order the 2011 and still have it work for 2012. In meantime, any suggestions about how/who else to get this ordered for a '12?

Hondata will NOT reflash 2012 RDX's; this has been confirmed twice by Hondata Reps and by K Series Parts. I have to go FlashPro if I get a '12.

You're right in that at least there's still something, but now I have to fork out 400 more dollars for something I'll never fully utilize. While I haven't gotten anything concrete, I have to believe Honda changed the ECU in some way, I can't think of why else Hondata wouldn't reflash the '12. Why the hell would Honda do something like this? If anything, do it for the MMC in 2010, but why wait 'til the final freakin' year??!!!!
Rumor has it an ILX Type S is coming, using the new CTR's engine/tranny combo. Also rumored they will do a Type S for the TLX as well. Anyone think they'll give us a RDX Type S or did Gen1 burn them enough not to?
