Help!! Having AC and battery problems
Help!! Having AC and battery problems
I have a 2008 rdx tech package...Im having battery problems and AC problems first the battery issue
I had to jump the battery 3 times this week when it sits over 4hrs, I had AAA replace the battery today but sometime is still draining the battery im wondering if it has to do with my AC issue...AC issue is its blow cold on the passenger side n hot on driver side...Im replacing the blend door actuator to see if that helps but about 5 days ago when traveling to plam springs my AC was smoking or maybe the belt idk but it doesn't do it now, then that's when the battery issue started after that happened, I have no CEL car runs good.. I notice today that it spatter a little bit on idle
Any help is greatly appreciated

sounds like your A/C clutch has melted or burnt up and is not allowing the alternator to charge the battery. It could also be a stuck AC relay keeping power onto the compressor. Smoke from A/C system is never good. Usually when system is low on refrigerant it will cause the issue with driver side warm and pass cold.
