Goodbye TSX, hello RDX

Greetings everyone! We traded in our 2004 TSX for a new 2008 CBP RDX with the tech package this past Saturday, so I thought I'd say hello and introduce myself. I was very active in the TSX forum of this site back-in-the-day and have been lurking while we considered the RDX... particularly reading about the fuel 'economy' and the possibility that our new car color would resemble baby poop (which I am happy it doesn't!).

So far I'm impressed and I almost feel disloyal in that I miss my TSX less than I thought I would. We were prompted to make the change since we're expecting a new addition this summer and wanted the room that the hatch provides.

What's up, ?

Congrats to both of you. Don't feel bad. The RDX is in some ways, an overgrown TSX. Engine Started as a TSX engine, (got worked over & turbo!), more interior room, hatch instead of a trunk, SH-AWD instead of FWD, performance & cornering is similar, (for an SUV!). MPG maybe less, but for power, SH-AWD & weight, it's pretty good, (& it's still an ACURA!)

Just over a week in on mine and it is very impressive. I haven't pushed it yet by any means since I do intend to break it in somewhat nice, but I can already tell it's going to be a step up from the TSX we had. Congrats to both of you on your decision. If you feel anything like I do, you know it was a good one!

Congratulations to the three of you! It's interesting to note that a lot of TSX owners are now RDX owners. Even though they are both different cars, they seem to fit into the same demograghics; sporty, stylish, not too big, and a blast to drive.

I might consider an RDX to replace my TSX as well, when the time comes. The extra utility is appealing, and I don't want a huge SUV, I still want it to feel like a car, but with a little extra space. Only thing holding me back is the fuel economy. I get 26/35 usually in my TSX which is nice.

The TSX trade-ins are kinda like a few of us on here that traded in a G35(X) in for the RDX. Same reasons. A little more room, still handles quite well, nice power, & isn't a BIG suv!

Well, what I truly wanted was a TSX wagon, but Acura hates me so they don't make those. It would be real tough to bring them over here from Europe where they roam the streets in Honda clothing. I loved that TSX - it is a great car. The dive in fuel economy that I just took smarts, but I am happy with the RDX thus far. I can't believe how well it handles or how quick that engine is!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's impossible to lower the windows remotely as in the TSX, correct?? If so, why does Acura do this to us???

Before my '07 RDX I had an '04 Accord. On those hot summer days it was nice to roll down all windows as you were walking to your car.

Yesterday I had my ipod playing, nav guiding me, and I answered my phone via the HandsFreeLink. I think that was the moment that I decided I really like my RDX!

p.s. The sound system rocks.
