Good price?

Hi guys, I appreciate all the great information on these forums. I have an offer for $31,000 w/dest. for a base '07. Is this a good price? He has a Gray and Black, which color do you think is the best? Black looks slightly better but gray might be easier to clean. Or do you think I should skip all this and just wait for the '08s to reduce in price? Thanks.

Not sure where you live, but I've got 2 similar offers for a 2008 base RDX for the price of $31800 + TTL (northern CA). Hope this helps.

Thanks, I live in Connecticut. That's not much more for an '08 while the '07s need to go and I was aiming at a lower price because of this.

Cool

You should be able to get an base '07 for no more than $30k. Go to the dealer on the last day of this month and tell them you will pay this much to buy one today. I think it can be done. Good luck!

Are you sure? This dealer seems to be unwilling to budge in price at all, he barely got down to $31,000. One dealer offered me $30,500 a month and a half ago and he sold out. He uses the usual excuse of "there are many expenses and prep costs..." blabla should I tell him I would only buy at $30,00 or should I go elsewhere? Thanks.

It depends on where you live. Here in SF Bay Area, I can find more than 5 Acura dealers in 50 miles radius, and all of them have 07s on the lot. RDX doesn't sell well in the sunny California so dealers are more willing to make a deal.

I live in Connecticut and I test drove an '07 base today. Great car! He wouldn't budge any lower than $30,941 so i guess I won't complain, it just seems that maybe if i go to another dealer i might save a couple hundred dollars but i'm not sure because by that time there won't be any '07s left.

RDX Price

I bought mine at Acura of Avon, Avon, CT. '08 w/Tech $35,100. Was treated really well by these guys. Gave me a price that was just a few hundred more then the '07's that Shaeller had with colors I didn't want. My dealer also throws in mud gaurds and few little extra's like an extra 6k or 6 mos. on the factory warrenty i.e. 5yrs 56K bumper to bumper. I test drove an '07 at 2 pm Monday and picked up my '08 7 pm that same day! This is a slick xuv, very impressive tech system and great performance. I do take it easy and the first tank yielded 18 MPG combined driving. No question though, when you tromp on the turbo the tank will empty quickly! The integrated audio, NAV and Bluetooth are welcomed features. This is the first Acura for me, had Eddie Bauer Explorers for the last 16 years. Nice to have the feel of a car again, I missed that, the explorers are truely trucks. Nice forum here!

Later!

Bluff and tell him you went to another dealer and they offered sub-$30,000. You should be getting an '07 base close to invoice given they want to get rid of their inventory. If you insist on staying with the same dealer, then try to get as many accessories as you can thrown in to make up the difference.

Thanks! The quote I got was actually from Acura of Avon, they have a black color. I'm glad to see you like it...should I go for the '08 or the '07 because there is low APR on the '07.

adoba...there will likely be favorable financing on the '08 models toward TG and Christmas if not sooner. That's how they ran it last year. It got progressively better, from 3.9 in Nov-Dec to 2.9 in Jan-Feb. I'd wait for an '08 if I were your position.

I think the low financing is for both 07 and 08 RDX's (at least until Monday).

I too am trying to get an 07 or 08 with tech in CT. If I could get accu1's deal ($35.1K 08 Tech) from Avon, I'd be happy; but I'd also be happy with a $32K 07 Tech as well.

Thanks, today is actually the last day you can take advantage of the financing because dealers don't work on sunday and on monday because of Labor day. I might be going to Avon today even though it is a long drive but hopefully they'll stay with their deal. I am not really concerned about the bluetooth or the memory seats and the auto-dimming mirror, I also heard that the suspension was the same for late model '07s and '08s so nothing to worry about there. I'm not sure about $32K because they barely gave me $31K for a Base.

Yea, '08, there are some minor upgrades in the '08, memory settings for the driverand a auto dim mirror. Normal 2nd model year stuff. The low financing is for all acura's not just '07 2.9% 36 mo or 4.9% 48 or 60 mos.
So far this is a great ride!
Good luck!
