Future Comptech mods

I sent an email to Comptech inquiring if they have any plans in the works for the RDX. I figured I'd get the standard "We don't currently have anything available for the RDX, but keep checking our website..." What I got was just slightly better in that that they said "yes we do have plans for the RDX, but we are not sure to what extent".

Who here would pay $4-5k for a supercharger that delivered say an additional 50HP to the wheels? Can you imagine 300+HP in the RDX? Can you imagine how bad the MPGs would be then?

I imagine they will develop an intake and exhaust system first. I'd be interested in that. Maybe some suspension work and brakes too.

4-5 k would be way too much for only 50hp more... my evo gained around 20 for just a pair of 600 dollar cams... exaust and intake would give you another 10-15 maybe even 20 with full piping and a compture... it should go way beyound 60hp for less then 4k

I was wondering the same thing... maybe a supercharger to replace the turbo???

Maybe some better exhaust plumbing... larger diameter up / down pipes, better free-flowing cat-back, etc...

(I'm new to the Honda world, so I don't really know what Comptech does... sorry)

Probably would make less power with a supercharger than with the factory turbo.

you can supercharge turbo cars... i know some evo's and sti's who do did it.. with a huge turbo and a small supercharger the giant turbos would actually spool faster... those cars were pulling around 700-1000 hp hehe

Sasair, that is great info. I would love to get an intake and exhaust. How does that affect the factory turbo I wonder. Comptech makes high quality stuff. Now a supercharger would be awsome but I have to sell that one to the wife fist.

Also comes the question of invalidating the warranty...

I hope that comptech comes out with a big brake kit. I would buy that. That is one thing that the RDX slacks in my opinion is brake feel when slowing from high speeds.
