First snow

Took the winter beater out today. Woke up to 4" of snow and thought I'd take her out to see how the SH-AWD handled the snow. Quite surprised at how well she responds to the boot.

NE Washington. This storm is working it's way across the US and it's a doozy.
The following day after snowing all night.

I find it amusing that the factory 18" wheel is the same size and offset as the ILX A-Spec wheels. Next month when it's legal I'll be putting my ILX wheels with the winter studs on it.

We are expecting our first snow and freeze on Tuesday; but, back into +60 degrees by Friday in NM. No such thing as winter studs down here.

I'm loving it - the cold air finally made its way down south to Phoenix. Windows and doors open to start the work week!

I lived in ABQ a while and still have a friend there. Snow doesn't generally stick long there. Here, the nights are in the teens so whatever melts during the day turns to ice, so they allow studded tires.
Many of the trees didn't have time to drop their leaves so the weight of the snow took them out.
Lived in Glendale for a while too, you've gotta be loving the cool down.

I bought it as my winter ride, so I'll wait for next summer. Turbo upgrade, front mount, intake, 3" exhaust, and Hondata. I'll probably make it totally useless on snow and ice and need another winter ride.

Small world! I lived in Tacoma/Puyallup WA, Glendale/Ahwatukee AZ, and now ABQ (Reno, NV tossed in also), Leaves are still +75% green and we just got hit with about 5-8 inches of snow between the foothills and westside. Driving in snow is everyone's Kryptonite out here because everyone speeds, tail gates, and brake late on bald all season tires in +2 ton SUVs/trucks. Debating clearing the snow off the driveway now or letting the sun do it when temps hit +60 this weekend. My 08 RDX with conti dws 06 tires felt so secure for the 4-5 days we get snow on the streets here in ABQ yearly.

I thought people in ABQ drove bad, until I moved to New Jersey. 5-8, that's a lot for there, you must have a bunch of car pieces to help locate the edge of the road.
