Technically, not unless the part itself is responsible for damage. i.e. your read diff blows, that can't be blamed on a CAI.

Realistically, depending on the issue, dealer techs like to pretend any mod messes up the way the car runs.

 

I believe a dealer will use anything they can against you, to save money...
