Do I need TPMS service when installing new tires ?

Hi all,

I'm planning to get new tires on my RDX very soon and I'm just wondering if I need to have TPMS service when installing the new tires. I've heard that whenever you take the tires off the rim you should have the sensors serviced.
I have 32000 miles on my car.
Any input will be appreciated.

wouldn't hurt to put new seals on the tpms valve stem, but even that should not really be required. other than that, there is no service for it.............

serviced? they need their oil changed or something? hahaha...

It sounds like they may just be trying to sell you new sensors. I just got new wheels and tires, on an '07. The sensors swapped over and have been working just fine.

If it ain't broke...

doesn't work that way. the batteries are integrated in the sensors and are supposed to have a life expectancy of, I believe, eight years. per our wonderful government dictating that............
