Dealer re-setting my Hondata reflashed ECU
Hi fellas
I'm a newly registered member here with a couple curious questions
First off I own an 07 rdx with the tech package i bought it brand new and i have about 129000 miles. Yep 129k and still running pretty smooth
Now recently my passenger window wasnt working correctly at all. It would go half way up and slow down almost like its sounds like its dying on the way up then just jolt down. Anyway it was like that for quit a while and just decided to go the dealer to get it fixed even tho they tend to be a rip off. The said they needed to change the window motor which I was hoping was not the case but so be it.
The window works great now but when I got the car back I noticed a little lag in the car especially when in S mode. Ive had the Hondata reflash now for about two years with no problems at all and it worked great. But now it seems
Like the car has lost quit a bit of power like it almost doesn't even have the reflash anymore
So my question is does resetting the ecu have anything to do with fixing the motor of the window and programming the window correctly?
Or would the dealer decide to reset the ecu for any matter without informing me?
Thanks again

No, however, if you are in the heat wave the hot weather will really slow your car down. The dealer would also have pulled the plug/disconnected the battery which would reset the learn codes on the throttle responce. A day or two of hard driving should re-map these and give you back a quicker car.

Really want to get the reflash done, but im a little worried that when I take it in for service, they may just flash it back to stock.
Anyone had this happen to them yet? Are they required to tell you anything if they need to reflash your ECU for some reason?

not an SUV ...a Big Hatch
They'll never do anymore work than they have to do...
If they are not tracing down some strange malfunction in the items that the ECU controls, there's no reason for them to ever even touch it.
