Date of release

For what it is worth. I just purchased a 2006 TSX and my salesperson and I were discussing the RDX. He said the dealers know little about it. They don't even know if it will be a 4 or 6 cylinder. They were told a 6. He also said that they get training before its release and they usually get at least a month's previous notice before it's release to adjust their calendar. So far, no notice.

He also said that all dealers will get 3 cars only, at first. He told me to wait until next year at this time to purchase.

BTW, couldn't be happier with the TSX.

An honest dealer salesperson--they admit they don't know. Then he provides speculation . I think many people here may wait until next year anyway to allow the teething pains to be worked out with the RDX.

So far, the speculation seems to indicate the end of July to be the official release date. The cars should then be in dealerships by the beginning of August.

On top of that, according to Colin, one of our resident sales reps, the dealerships are actually not getting to request their first allotment as they usually do. Instead, the corporate office is assigning the available cars to the dealers.
