CR-V concept Photo - what will the RDX look like?
#2
I keep hearing rumors about the all new MDX growing in size and I'm assuming the all new RDX will grow a little bit also. The car companies are going crossover crazy now days. I hope they keep the same performance, improved gas mileage, and upgrade the interior in the new RDX like in the ZDX.
The wife and I are considering upgrading to the all new RDX or MDX in about 24-36 months when our son starts to drive and I hand him down the keys to the 06 TSX. We are waiting for the all new MDX/RDX to come out to decide which model. I don’t want to jump ship; but, Audi Q5 and Q7 are looking pretty sexy on the road now days (I'm starting to fall in love with the new A7 also).

I hope the new RDX is no too far off from this. It seems like a current trend of Honda/Acura is to try to flatten out their vehicles. The new Ody seems a lot shorter than previous editions and all of the CR-Vs seems to be getting shorter. I hope it keeps the turbo, but the gas mileage increases. 22 for the SH-AWD is pretty bad.

I Think that you are correct, if you notice that concept is a very refreshed CR-V and not really a drastic change from the current generation.

True, but they are second cousins...Looking at what Acura has done with the TL, Honda with the Civic, Pilot and now CR-V will give you an idea (you would think) of where they are going. I would bet that as it was said before on this thread, the new RDX will be a very mild redesign of the current car, which will suk since most people are expecting big changes

well...even though everyone claims that hondas concept reveals are basically the production model...they are not, because, the little things that they strip out of the consumer version are the only things that make the modern honda attractive. Im reserving judgment till the on-sale car. I like this one, but its aggressiveness is surely to be toned down, from the rims to the flares...so basically anything that makes it look decent. Also, it doesnt look like a truck anymore, could be the angle of this concept shot, the spy photos tend to show a more traditional-crv look. lets wait and see.
if this is a taste of a new RDX, i am not sure im a fan.

As for the updated RDX, pretty much all the design tweaks I would have wanted are on, surprise, the Q5. Acura addressed none of the issues in the last refresh, and I found most of the changes they did make to be for the worse.
