Collision in Canada

Last night, my 2007 RDX was involved in a collision at Oakville, Ontario. The vehicle was not drivable and need to be repaired at a collision center in Ontario for 1 1/2 weeks. I was vacationing from Chicago, and will return tomorrow so I have to drive again upon completion of the job. Question is how does ACURA ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE can help? My car was already towed and have a rental. If I drive it to Acura dealers which have their own collision shop, will they give me a loaner car.

if you have a rental why do you need a loaner? If you are going through insurance then you get the rental and use it until your car is fixed.

I just want to take advantage what total luxury care can offer. For example, the insurance will always pay for it but does acura tlc will send me a check on the trip interruption? it specifically says on the contract that they will reimburse if u have an accident.

quick answer...read the contract in its entirety and see what you are entitled to. If it says they will reimburse, then, demand reimbursement from whatever losses you have incurred due to the incident that is covered.

I always thought of AcuraCare as an extended warranty which comes with a glorified version of AAA. I have a 100k policy, BTW.

I don't think it applies if you get in an accident. That's handled by your insurance. AcuraCare only applies if your car breaks down. If you're on a trip, then they'll get you a rental, put you up in a hotel, etc.

You probably have to contact Acura Care in order to get the benefit. They'll handle all of the arrangements. I don't think you send them the bill and ask for reimbursement.
