Clock Issue

Mine too.
My 2007 RDX did the same this morning! I'm thinking it's to do with AT&T turning off 3G cell towers. If I remember right, the clock is set automagically by cell tower synchronization. After work I'm going to try and figure out a way to reset manually. I"ll share if there is a way.

Same thing happened on our 2008 RDX. The clock is exactly one hour ahead. Even in the clock adjustment settings page, I cannot manually change it. I tried turning off auto DST, and it makes no difference. I thought the clock was set via GPS and time zone location? The nav map still shows the proper location so I know GPS is working.

@schen72 I have tried and tried this evening to reset manually and nothing. 2007 RDX tech 1 hour ahead. The display shows arrow to the right will "Reset" that does nothing. Also manually setting the time does nothing. Maybe there's a way to turn off "auto"? If anyone has ideas post here please!
The 2G RLs are also having the same issue, which have the same generation nav as we do: https://acurazine.com/forums/second-...2022-a-997454/.

Has anyone tried disconnecting the battery, you know, reboot?

Clock
I talked to Acura on the west coast. She said it's a known problem with Acura's 2008 thru 2013. She also said the fix might take until August. When it's fixed it will happen over the automatically over the air.

Except our systems use AT&T 3G cell towers to get "over the air" updates. AT&T is deactivating all of them by Feb 2022... I'm afraid that person didn't know what she was talking about.

I don't believe the first gen RDX has any kind of cellular connectivity, so the 3G shut down will not impact us. The clocks on 1G w/tech are synced with GPS satellites. I am curious what kind of update she thinks they're going to push over the air.

The RDX is my wife's DD, and she now has to stare at a clock 1 hour too fast. She's not happy. It seems lots of Acuras and Hondas with a specific generation of infotainment have this issue. There is no OTA update capability. It would have to be a special DVD update. My personal prediction is that this may turn into a recall for a dealer visit to get the software updated.

On the bright side it isn't that hard to just subtract one hour. Glad it didn't do like the 1999-2004 or whatever when it was stuck on 0

So glad I got the base model not the tech that was also available, my clock is right (and my Garmin has lifetime maps).

We'll see. I can imagine this is a huge embarrassment for Honda.

And then they postponed the 5G rollout, hmmmm.

2008 rdx
Well, when I was looking yesterday for somebody else with this problem, I missed this thread but was notified in my post today that it exists.
so, three or four days ago, my wife’s 2008 RDX, display clock showed about an hour and 10 minutes ahead. After tinkering with it and trying to manually reset the time, including disconnecting the battery, the time is now stuck at about four hours and 20 minutes fast. I have seen people mention about the year but I have no idea how to tell what year it stuck on.
The navigation seems to be working in the serious and everything else seem to be fine, but the display clock is incorrect and for some reason, as others have noted, you can’t change it manually.
read the post on another website about this being an issue with all Honda type vehicle‘s. Not a big deal but it’s definitely an annoyance.

This is a Honda Nav issue across all models.
Go to SETUP then hold down CANCEL-GUIDE-MENU buttons for 5 seconds to access diagnostic screen.
Run diagnostics and confirm that all is well.
Go to GPS INFO and it will show the satellite time, which is 20 years off and will say 2002. However. the (GMT) time is correct.
This is because GPS counts the year by counting weeks, and there is a limit of 1024 weeks. So it rolls over to zero every 20 years.
The junior engineers who programmed the nav system apparently did not understand this, which is why every honda nav system in the world with base year of 2002 is now displaying the wrong time.
People who have called Honda report that the official response so far is "the problem will auto-correct in August 2022".
I had the same problem on my 2001 Acura a few years ago, and it was eventually corrected by a firmware upgrade downloaded via the satellite link. This problem was supposed to auto-correct as well, but did not for me. One note is the download only worked when I reinstalled the original Nav DVD. Hope this is not the case with Fit.
You can access the DOWNLOAD link from the diagnostic VERSION item. I used this link, but it just downloaded the same version I already had.

This is what I see when following when following astro's directions. I do not see a time/date anywhere, on any of the screens. 2008 RDX.
Either way, thanks for the tip. Neat information to access.

Same issue with my '09 TSX. I saw my clock was an hour ahead after the 1st and thought great, another thing acting up (my Navi has been on the fritz lately). I did read that Honda is saying wait until Aug. but I wonder if the DST change will fix it or if it will still keep it an hour ahead? But it will be in April vs March if it is programmed in, as 2002 was before the DST move to what we have now of March/back to ST in November.

08 TL owner reporting in. This problem started for me on Jan 1, 2022 and my dash clock was 1 hour ahead for a few days. The GPS unit would not allow me to set the time, as others have reported. Now the dash clock is off by random amounts , today it was either 4 hours behind or 8 hour ahead.
I don't care about the clock, but my battery went dead a few days ago. Could GPS be running updates while the car is off?
