This may be silly, but is it a carbon look, or painted body color?

This would look amazing. But I honestly don't see much affect here from just the hood and hatch. But changing the hood and moving the battery to the trunk might help in weight distribution.

hood is pretty heavy.. already looked into this.. some of the weight comes from the hood scoop too.. if i remember correctly it was around 15 to 20lbs in plastic and screws holding it to the hood.. if you got a FMIC you could easily get rid of the weight since its not needed.

the hatch is heavy as sin!! thats where the real weight drop would be i know on the 2010-12 models some of it is plastic (by the license plate area)

anywho weight savings if they did it would be nice im sure.. the problem they will come across is they will need both models since hoods and hatches are different between the 07-09 and 10-12

I beleive the bottom half of the hatch on the 07-09 is also plastic and are you kidding, really? 15-20 pounds in fasteners and screws? That is insane!

The rdx is ~3900 pounds. To be honest, when you take into account the size, SH-AWD clutch,turbo..etc. 3900 pounds is still not too bad. I personally would have loved if it came from the factory with something like 300hp and 300tq. But damn lets think theoretically here, if we knocked it down to 2500-3000 pounds, that would be awesome!
