Can you help a Dipstick with their Dipstick?

I am having trouble with my dipstick in my new to me RDX. It doesn't want to go in easily and I have to fight it to slide in. I was wondering if it is directional in any way and more importantly, should it be bent at the end like it is?

The OEM graphic appears to show the 'bends' it should have.
Search the part number, maybe you can find a better picture?

I was messing around with the dipstick and I figured out something. The second red spacer seems to be the problem. When I insert the DS, the spacer jams the rod into the tube and it won't go in all the way.

However, if I insert the DS into the tube and then twist clockwise just a little, the second spacer slides all the way down and I don't run into any resistance.

Does yours work the same way? or do you think my Dipstick is slightly bent?
