Big Brake Kit
Big Brake Kit
My front rotors need to be resurfaced and I'm thinking what would it be for BBK. Does anyone went thru this route and does it make a difference? I currently have aftermarket (EBC greenstuff) and the braking difference was night and day.
i have the Hawk Performance's HPS pads and i love them. the stopping power is definitely better than oem but it doesnt last as long. i use them with oem rotors. make sure you get new rotors when you install these, it needs a fresh surface. and take it easy on the brakes for about 100-200km after you install them.
Honda and Acura calipers are somewhat interchangeable as the bolt placement on the knuckle are identical, the tricky part is the pad thickness and rotor thickness because I think there are really no bbkits for rdx specifically, but say a nsx caliper can bolt to a prelude civic accord and integra knuckle, so there is hope.
The stock front caliper is pretty beefy, have you thought about ss braided brake lines with OEM calipers? I saw 737jock(-DIY section under sticky) messing with his brakes did he get slotted rotors as well?

Not likely. They are Brembo. Even if they did fit...good luck finding a set. They are very popular with the 3G crowd. Anything that comes up on the market (wrecked type s parts) is gone in 60 seconds.
