Automatically Roll Windows Down with Unlock Button

I noticed I can't do this on the RDX, not sure if it's an option in the menu I can change as I can't find it.

On my previous TSX I was able to press and hold the Unlock Button twice on my remote and all of the windows would roll down. This was great on hot days and would immediately cool off the car before I returned and got in.

Did this option get removed or is not available??

I have it on my 06 TSX and 11 MDX. No such luck on my 08 RDX. Not sure why they removed this feature? I have to park in open black asphalt lot with no shade and the temps are +100 degrees inside the RDX when I leave in the afternoon. This is with a sunshade and tinted windows. It was so nice to roll down the windows on the TSX to drop temps +20 degrees in a few seconds.

Totally agree, so I guess they removed that feature in the RDX....

I enjoy that feature on my tsx as well. I didn't realize it wasn't a feature in the RDX.

EscaBoi, any regrets on giving up your TSX for the RDX? I'm close to pulling the trigger on trading my '08 tsx for a '11 RDX. Can you give me any advice?

One concern for me is the difference in gas mileage....what was your experience with the switch. I get about 22 mpg's in my TSX. Thanks.

I still have my 06 TSX 5AT along with the RDX and MDX. The RDX is a lot of fun to drive with the sh-awd and turbo power. I added Eibach springs, ETS intercooler, Hondata reflash, Hondata heatshield gasket, and K/N drop in filter. This increased the fun factor and improved my mpgs about 1-1.5 mpg combined.

Bad news: I average about 19-20.5 combined depending on mix of hwy (60% average) and winter blend for gas (10% ethanol). I always average about 25-27 mpg combined on the same commute route in my TSX.

You will find the RDX has better 360 visibility, easier to drive with the extra power, real space for 4 or 5 folks, easier to park because it is shorter, updated tech compared to the TSX, and easy to use the "U" in SUV with this vehicle. If you add a trailer hitch and/or roof rack, you can maximize the RDX utility factor.

Another major downside is the road noise is much higher compared to my TSX or MDX (even with Conti DWS tires).

I kept my TSX because it was too good of a vehicle to get rid of.

If gas mileage is a big concern for you I would re-consider the RDX. The gas mileage is the main thing I don't like and if I could do it again I would perhaps get something more gas efficient. I use to average 600km on a full tank in the TSX (6MT) and now with this getting about 450-500km. I'm not an aggressive driver either.

Things I don't like:
- gas mileage
- 5 speed (wish it was 6 speed)
- trunk space
- turbo lag

I still love the car, but I find I'm filling up more often. I dont use sport mode often but I do use the downshifting a lot to save the brakes, which is great, the paddle shifters are nice for this. Also I play hockey and pick up my friends and we need to really squeeze 3 hockey bags in the car. The trunk space in the TSX was great and I could easily fit 3 bags. The side mirrors are also the same size as the TSX, for an SUV that's a little odd and should be bigger like a van and traditional SUV. Not a major disappointment but I'm use to it now.

If you still want the RDX look into the 2nd gen, the gas mileage is better and I believe it's also 6 speed, which would contribute to that.

The RDX will feel very similar to the TSX, and you will get use to it easily. I initially wanted an MDX but my fiance felt it was too big so we settled with the RDX. My fiance can't drive manual and didn't really want to learn so that's why I traded it for the RDX otherwise I would've kept the TSX. I loved the TSX. But the technology in the RDX makes up for it all and makes me easily forget the TSX... minus the gas mileage.

Wish the RDX had this option, TL does but the wife never bothers to use it because the fob is always at the bottom of her purse. My new ride is GM truck with remote start and auto cool/heat feature. Very comfortable when you jump in to running A/C from the hot blacktop of the bar parking lot.

Just bought an 07 RDX and had been wondering about this myself as my old 06 TL had this feature, as well as every BMW I have ever owned (06 on up). Disappointed that it doesn't have it, as well as no memory seats. But the car itself is great, so no regrets.

Bad advice. What is easier to fix/replace, the transmission or the brakes?

bad logic. down shifting 1k rpms sooner isn't going to cause any considerable additional wear and tear
