No sure the advantage of changing the buttons around in the 07-09 vs 10-12? The only buttons I use are Dual and temp setting. I sometimes use the air recirculation if I get behind a stinky vehicle or drive by a cattle yard when visiting the in-laws in the eastern part of the state.

I’ve always thought it was kinda strange how the RDX dash design (and 07-09 front grille) was out of sync compared to other newer/older model Acura’s. I still like it; but, not a typical Acura/Honda design.

It makes sense to me to put the two defrost buttons together, but I think they should have placed it on the driver's side and not on the passenger's.

It has been discussed as one of the minor changes introduced in the refresh. I'm not sure about the advantages/disadvantages of that change in button placement as I simply used the auto setting to my desired temperature and didn't bother doing anything else.

I personally dont use the "auto" feature, lately the temperature has been going back and forth by 40 degrees here in TX so I stay between 60 and 75. The only thing I notice is the fan switch is by the driver which I like and they grouped the defrost with the defogger/heated mirror. Id hate to ask my service advisor whats involved to make the change, hed probably have a long sigh and ask why? haha.
