All season mats??

We got hit with quite a bit of snow in the North East this past weekend. I have never had all season mats in any of my cars, however, all of my previous cars have been old.....I went to the local pep boys to buy some rubber mats to find that all the models that they had were really ugly and either too expensive ($40) or too cheap in quality.....
I went online to find out that the OEM set is $90....

Am I too cheap to think that a set of rubber mats should not cost that much? do you have a set or place where you got it that you would recommend?

I haven't looked around, but it isn't unusual for high quality, custom fit rubber mats to be expensive, and IMO, typically worthwhile.

I agree that the price isn't out-of-line for custom fit mats. I got mine on EBay from an Acura dealer.

The dealer threw them end, to close the deal when I bought my RDX last year. They're great! I keep them in year round, and my carpets look brand new. Takes out the worry factor of getting something on the carpets.

And I'm in Houston.

Exactly what I did. The rubber mats look good and work great all year.

I am confused....why would you "save" the mats for the next owner and not enjoy them yourself?

I purchase the all weather rubber mats from acura for about a 100.00 but i didn't like how they fit so i then purchase the weathertech digitalfit for about 120.00 with shipping front only which i like better they do protect more area.

How do you like the digital-fit mats? I'm thinking of getting the regular front mats and then the digital-fit for the rear. It'll come out to about $125 if I choose to go that route.

Acura's mats are good, but the taupe ones will stain. I've pressure washed and scrubbed mine and they still stain. But they fit great and work.

imo the weathertech digital mats are 10 times better then the factory rubber matts. i purchase the factory mats and used them for two weeks until my weathertech dig mats came in so i spent 105.00 for the factory and 120.00 for the front weather tech i should of just of just purchased them first. the weather tech product do cost more but you get what you pay for. i still have the front but i left the rear ones in so i will only sell the front mats

My dad has the Weathertech mats in his MDX. I have the factory-intalled all-weather mats in my RDX and the Weathertechs are way nicer and deeper. A lot more durable. When my all-weather mats have had it I'm definitely buying Weathertech ones.

Good question. I had factory mats before, and last with my TSX. They get dirty, grimy, stain, and look bad after a while. By keeping them fresh, when I go to trade up, it makes a better impression. Trade value is all about looks (and alot of internet prep work on your part)

New mats are not expensive.

What color would you get for the Weathertech Digifits for the Taupe interior? Pay day is coming up and I'd love to get some on before it starts snowing again.

I have a taupe interior and really like my black all-weather mats. I didn't think I would but now I do. I hear the taupe mats get noticeably dirty and there's not much you can do about it over time.

I have the taupe interior and I got the grey Digifits. Not an exact match but nothing is - especially the OEM ones after a little use. The Digifits look good to me.

Got the OEM black all-weather mats. I have the taupe interior, and they look OK sionce there are black accents throughout anyway. Had some in an RSX before, and they wore well, so I expect these to do the same.

The factory all-weather mats are TERRIBLE.

Check out the coverage on the driver's side - the area just below both the accelerator and dead pedal allow junk from your shoes to drip directly on the carpeting!

Plus, the taupe ones have stained brown and it will not come clean. I can't wait to get rid of them (and get WeatherTech Floorliners).

Just as a heads up... It looks like the floor mat retention system has been redesigned for 2009. Instead of the hooks of the previous model years, there are cam locks; this of course does not work with the Weathertechs I just ordered.

And it probably would not work with the OEM mats from 2007 and 2008.

For anyone who is interested, I just got my black weathertech digifit mats for the front and rear at autogeek for for 159.99 with free shipping (with coupon code "ago"). That's the cheapest I could find them.

Sailfast, I just heard back from Derek at Weathertech. You will likely have the same anchor issue -
As noted in the online product description, the All-Weather mats are not custom made for each vehicle. We assign the mats based on the size we find to have the best fit out of the 80 different sets we offer. Although they will not be a replica of the factory floor mats and the post hole locations will not always match, the W71 mats do a nice job in protecting the RDX carpet from spills and debris.
They do fit great, just have to figure out how to remove the twist-lock cams from the floorboard so they sit flat or replace with the hooks from 07/08.

Here's the graphic from the Owners Manuals just to illustrate the difference between the model years -

The weathertech's arrived and the locking holes were incorrect as you found out, but they look pretty good and I am satistified. The all weather RDX mats that I bought from RayLaks Accura Honda on the net were returned with a picture showing the difference in the mounting holes on the mats that came with the RDX and the ones they sent. As I mentioned they were clueless to the change, I gave up, they are spares now. Love the RDX

Just from light web research, I think these are the part numbers...

2009+ All Weather Mats
08P13-STK-210A - Ebony
08P13-STK-220A - Taupe

2007-8 All Weather Mats
08P13-STK-210 - Ebony
08P13-STK-220 - Taupe

Yes the black ones stain, especially with the salt that gets tracked with your shoes.

in order to prevent staining take out the mats and hose them off at least once a week. In the end, a little preventative maintenance goes a long way to insuring the look and quality of your vehicle. The same goes for the outside of the car. If its too cold to wash it by hand, at least hose it off once a week to get the salt spray off.

Update for 2009+'s: the floor mat cam anchors come out pretty easy. Just pry a flathead screwdriver under the front-facing arrow and push in. The anchors loop around two parallel slits in the carpeting, there is no connection to the floorboard.

Taking these out will allow 07-08 OEM and other (Weathertech) mats designed for the hook fasteners to sit flush on the floor.
