Alabaster Silver/Taupe combination
Alabaster Silver/Taupe combination
Does anyone have the Alabaster Silver exterior with Taupe interior combination? How is the contrast between the two colours? Please post a picture of it if you can?
The best way to do this is to just go over to cars.com and punch in RDX within all miles of your zip code. That way you will maximize your results.
Check this out:
Go to goodsonacura.com and check their pre-owned inventory. They have the silver/taupe RDX that you're interested in viewing.

That is the combo my dealer has on the floor right now - very attractive with an open feeling when sitting in it. Much more open feeling than the Ebony interior. That being said, I will go with Ebony because the light color of the carpet with the Taupe interior looks like it will show every footprint, etc. especially mud and rain/snow stains. There are some brands that combine a tan or beige interior with a somewhat darker dirt-hiding carpet; this makes tons of sense to me. Audi also has the light carpet with Beige interior on the A4. M-B and I believe Lexus will give you a darker carpet with the light interior - still color coordinated but to me much more practical. Of course, one could get Weather Tech or similar floor liners in a darker color, but I think for the RDX the only dark choice is Ebony and that might not look right with the Taupe trim.

Thanks.
I usually get winter mats and leave them all year on top of the other mats,so a light colour rug is not an issue for me.
I have seen the Taupe interior here on White outside(for 2007 you could not get silver/taupe combo here in Canada). I thought the Taupe had more of a beige tint than grey tint, so may not go as well with silver.Other thoughts are the new Polish Metal Metallic or Carbon Bronze(this might be the best combination) with Taupe.

The interior has stayed pretty clean. Might be different if I had kids or lived somewhere with a lot of rain or snow.

I have always found tha black interiors show dirt more than lighter colors. Every foot print shows up, every time your foot touches the doo or door sill when you get out. They always look great, but you really have to keep after them. Just like black exterior.
I have the silver with taupe interior... it's the second vehicle I've had with that combo (previous was a Highlander.) I like the combination - I really did not want a black interior down here in the deep southeast.....
