about side moldings

about side moldings

what are side moldings for? is it worthy to get it installed?

YES! I originally didn't get them, but worked out a deal with my dealer after I saw them. I think they add a LOT to the look of the sides. Not only do they provide some minimal protection, but they really make the side of the car look much nicer. They are about 1.5 in wide, and color matched. They are outrageously expensive though...

I dunno. They do offer a bit of protection but a friend of mine had it on his TL and the sides still get dinged up when bumped regardless of the moldings.

I think they add an interesting layer to the side profile of the car....whether that's good or bad is a matter of opinion. With the RDX, I personally prefer them without.

i ordered it with my car cuz i dont trust myself installing it ... i will prolly get it all croked.. haha but yea they add a nice look to the sides and they help prevent alot of door dings... well thats what im hoping for at least

I had side moldings installed by the dealer for my MDX. I still don't like the looks of them and will not get them on an RDX (if I end up getting one).
