3rd Gear Pressure Switch

So my wife's 08' RDX threw a transmission light and we got the code read. it's the 3rd Gear Pressure switch, i know that they are easy to change and with her RDX being at 70k miles were gonna flush the trans and put new fluid in. my question is what is the part number for the 3rd Gear Pressure switch? i have been on acurapartsforless.com and i have found two...not sure which is which...anyone know?

here are the part numbers i found:
28600-RAY-003

28610-RAY-003

thanks in andvance guys

Some Googling brought me back to an older thread on this site (https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-2g-m...rs-diy-747378/) which seems to indicate that the 610 part is the 3rd gear switch and the 600 part is for 4th gear. Alternatively, you can buy one of each (your car will have both), and just replace both at the same time while you're in there. It's only 37 bucks. If you do that, just pay attention which goes where when you pull the old ones out.

OP: what was the problem with the switch - failed OPEN, failed CLOSED, other?

Although some part numbers cross car models, its best to determine the exact p/n for your own vehicle, using the VIN. And I think that the 07-09 RDX all use THREE switches: 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. The 4-speeds used only two switches, the 5-speeds use three switches.

3rd and 4th switches are not too difficult to change - let me know how you make out with 2nd gear switch, because I have been unable to change it in my own 09 RDX.

POSITIONS: 3rd is in the front bottom of the trans, 4th is on top under the intake air cleaner box, and 2nd is on the passenger side rear top corner of the trans. The switches are color coded, so match up the new ones against the old ones.

The DTC code should have been written on your repair order - and that will say what the failure is - or next time ask for the code - a code is always given with the *light*.

Which is why Honda offers a vehicle warranty - and why the engineers design parts to a MTBF (mean time between failure) - meaning 1/2 the parts fail before the MTBF limit - and the OP is not the first RDX owner to report an early PSwitch failure - and the number of other Honda/ Acura models with this same failure goes across all models: MDX, TL, Oddys, Accord, etc. This failure is not common, but certainly not unheard of either.
