2012 RDX-What do we know?

With the 2012 CR-V being rolled out at the NY Auto show, what is the timing for the 2012 RDX?

Also what do we know in terms of equipment, size and drive train? I'm hoping Acura puts the same qulaity interior they have in the ZDX/TL into the RDX.

On a somewhat related note, I recall a while back, Honda was working with Google on 3D Navi maps, did this partnership ever bear any fruit? It's seems competitors like the Q5 are getting 3D maps.

I'm guessing a carry over with the full redesign in 2013. Acura/Honda have been following a 6 year life cycle lately and I'm guessing the RDX will be no different.

The light CUV field is getting very crowded with all the new vehicles from KIA, Hyundai, GMC, Nissan, Mini, etc... Honda had to keep the CR-V new and improved to maintain its sales in that very competitive market.

The market for the Acura RDX is limited to BMW X3, Infiniti EX35, and Caddy SRX. There isn’t a large overlap between the buyers of these vehicles. My guess is Acura will take their time with the 2013 model and up the size, improve the tech (base, tech, advance), refresh the styling to current Acura Models (ZDX interior and TL exterior), and add a 3.5L V-6/6AT.

We won’t see anything until the all new RL is released first.

I'm anxious to see what Acura does to the next gen RDX. Hopefully at least smooth out the ride, improve the fuel economy, fix the front velociraptor beak, and add MP3/CD ripping HDD, rear ventilation system, and ventilated front seats. Toss in a panoramic sunroof and it'll be golden!

With the new BMW upcoming X1 and Audi's Q3, will Acura add a sub-RDX model??

I bet they'll be changing the front grill to something like a double buck-tooth.

It's funny how your wish list will never be the same as Acura's things to mess up list.
