2010 Cadillac SRX

Look familiar to you? Definitely prefer the RDX to the SRX, but still ... something to consider. If only it were faster off the line -- 0-60 mph in 8.2 seconds seems too slow for moi. If I'm going to shell out that kind of money, I want a car that's at least as fast (preferrably faster) than what I'm giving up. What say you?

RDX's interior is also way better than SRX imo. The center part of the dash with those long air vents is a little too out there for me.

A little bit RDX on the outside and a little bit MDX on the inside...

Thanks, but no.

I'd take one on looks, but it seems like the performance is pretty weak. I'm curious to see how the 2.8T version does.

^^ That's what I was thinking too. Built one on-line, and the Imperial Blue on Cadillac's website is stunning. But ... later saw an actual photo on-line, and color looks a lot different -- much darker / navy. If it looked the same as on Cadillac's website, I would be giving it some serious thought. But alas ...

I only checked Edmunds for reviews (they have 3), then I saw the "true blue" per above and didn't bother looking any further. As of last night, Edmunds did not have a review of the turbo model.

I like the new SRX...I'd only buy the 2.8T thought. Like you guys said the other engine really is a let down in terms of performance out of a car that looks that good.

Still...the 2.8T loading will no doubt be in the 50K range which would have me still looking elsewhere to spend my 50K. (MDX probably)

needs performance to back up its price tag....to me, just seems like caddys version of a ford edge...from a numbers standpoint, it looks very uninspired and in need of more power or less weight

On thing I like about Caddy is they are trying to compete on the world stage and offer vehicles that can be mentioned in the same breath with BMW, Benz, Lexus or Infiniti. I’m waiting for the 2011 MDX for my wife (worried about 6AT problems w/ 2010 models). She wants to really compare the SRX w/ the 2.8T against the MDX. I’m even thinking about the CTS for my next car. I’m just not feeling the new body style of the TL.

It's made in Mexico while the "foreign" Acura is made in USA...irony.

That's how GM awards us buying them up.

if the SRX had the performance to back it up, i wouldnt hesitate in owning..i love the CTS if i were to go back to a sedan itd be the first one on my list. I think its one of the finest american products to come out in a very long time.
