2009 RDX Price to shoot for?

In this tough economy and new car sales plummeting, what is the price I should shoot for on a 2009 Acura RDX with Tech package?

MSRP: $$37,755
Invoice: $
$34,749

Thanks in advance for the help.

Below invoice... find out the factory-to-dealer incentives, then shoot for that number + 500-1000 for dealer profit.

When I buy cars, or atleast the last 3, I used the internet. Find the local dealers, and send them all e-mails asking for internet quotes for the make, model, color, etc.. you want. Tell them you are looking at the dealers in the area. Say you want their best offers. When you get quotes back, send out new e-mails to the other higher bidders with the lowest bid. Keep going round robin until you get the lowest pirce with the most 'gimmies' (stuff they give away for free if you buy the car...mudflaps, floor mats etc.).

Then go to the dealer to talk final price, trade in and any cash down.

If you're not set on a 2009, the 2008's are a better value as the dealers are trying to sell them off. I bought my 2008 non-nav with 12 miles on it, and $1000 plus worth of gimmies for $29100. Took a week or so of e-mails back and forth to get to that price.

I see on Edmonds.com that the invoice is $34000 ($37000 MSRP) However, there might be factory incentives that the dealer can pass on to you. They did for me and it was $2500 off.

That puts you at $31500? Remember, there numbers are low, so they want to sell badly right now. Esp with Xmas coming up. Wait til end of month if you can.

Which dealership? I'm in Germantown too (well, Boyds, to be exact).

I've gotten 3 quotes over the phone/internet so far and the lowest was $32,799 + MD 6% sales tax + $388 tags/title/processing = $35,154 out the door.

The "RDX Owner's Sign-in" thread was very helpful in determining a good/fair price to pay, as was..

Good luck & I hope you all get a great deal on your RDX

Acura is the easiest car to buy, the reason is that they always have 2 packaging for each model. So after doing a thorough research on prices on internet, and getting 2-3 quotes from different dealers, you can accurately determine the lowest price you can buy. Just don't buy a car at the first dealership, always negotiate starting really low (knowing that your bid will never meet their ask), and then walk away... this way you can go home and think it over, and have something to compare to other offers.

I just picked up an '09 Tech package for 31.4k plus tt&l. Includes wheel locks, detail, and comp first service. Not a bad deal.
