ok, so what exactly did they do with the tail lights on the 2010? They seem 'darker'? i'm trying to find a comparison but its hard to say what the differences are.. i'd like to tint my taillights one shade darker to match the 2010 cuz it definitely looks cool.
here are some pix but i still cant figure out the difference.

The 2010+ tail lights are "smoked", so yes they are a little bit darker. Even though I'm sure the new lights would fit fine in an older RDX, I just don't think it's worth the cost.

I had a tow hitch for sale and met up with another member. (He had a 07)
We compare side by side and +10 models def. sits lower.

^ Also look at the crease that runs under the tail lights and across under the plate recess.
On the outside chance that the mounts for all the updated parts stayed the same, you would need to replace at the very least -
the garnish assy tailgate (lower) $456/352, the bumper face rr $399/299, the bumper face r $145/109, and the bumper face L $145/109.
So min $870 plus tax if the mounts are the same.
You will need more info to go forward without spending money.

also, i notice you're from NY, how does the sh-awd tackle the snow we get? I'm still doing my homework before buying either an rdx or mdx. FYI, I'm currently driving a subaru and the AWD is pretty good with the snow, especially driving up to vermont, even though I'm on all seasons.

The rear tail lights are interchangable between all model years.
The rear bumpers are also interchangable, however, because of the crease mentioned earlier, the rear hatch garnish has to be changed also.

We was hit pretty hard last year with the Blizzard but I was able to get out most spots while a tenant that I rent too - He has a 2010 tahoe and was stuck. (Weird -maybe he wasn't trying hard enough)
Only spots I wasn't able to get out off was if the snow was knee high.
I just reverse and than drive forward and normally would be able to get out of a high pile of snow.
I also went to Okemo Vermont last year and the RDX handle like a champ.
Only one section that the RDX was slipping but it was due to a turn on a downhill that had black ice.
I was going slow downhill and was able to get the car under control quickly.
Overall a very solid Crossover.
RDX is no subaru but it is pretty decent compare to it.
Test drive one - go to a dealership and see if it handles the way you like it too.
