2008 RDX cooling fans

im new, so take it easy on me. purchased a used 2008 RDX for my wife a week ago. i just recently noticed while parked and running in the driveway, the cooling fan/fans kick on every 20-30 for a short period, and will continue until driving the vehicle, fans also kick on/off at stoplights. outside temp was low 40's, engine temp normal and climate control set to 72 degrees. is this NORMAL?

On cooler days, my fan will kick on if the AC is on. As soon as the AC is turned off, the fans go off. My fan has almost never run for the last few months, unless the climate system get set to auto (then it turns the AC on itself).

True, but I wonder if this is why the AC clutch wears out and why Acura has extended the warranty on the AC unit? I am considering directly turning-off the AC, as mentioned in a post just above.
