After driving my 2007 RDX for 4 years, I still think the DVD-audio system by Panasonic, is one of the best sounding auto audio systems around. The treble and bass is so sweet, especially when hearing high quality recordings of our favourite CDs. Well worth the investment that came with the Nav.

 

I have yet to experience the sound of DVD-A. I listen to the local sport show every morning and back from work so I wasted the whole essence of ELS. I need to find a sample disc the next time I'm at Best buy.

 

I agree, it is a refined system that is often criticized for not having enough bass. But what people don't understand is that other high end car systems overdue it because they believe that is what most people want. They may even be right but it comes at the cost of accuracy.

The Els system measures almost flat with the settings that I have down to about 32hz which is very impressive. Bass guitar is very convincing and the system does offer a touch of sweetness in treble. I agree that CDs sound much better than FM /XM. Dvda is obviously best but quickly becoming extinct.

 

I must agree mav, I have also enjoyed my els for 4 years as well and counting in my RDX w/tech. Pound for pound the RDX has been an amazing do it all vehicle for me in my short automotive career. Even @ the auto show here in NY I was not overly impressed with any of the new competition; just goes to show you how far ahead of the curve Acura is with their technology and my vehicle is a 2007. I am more excited about the next generation RDX what do you guys think?
