Yup, definitely controversial in some corners. I've still got the original tails for if I change my mind about the LEDs. The front corner lights were in fair-poor condition in the first place and if not for the LEDs, I would have purchased some JDM clear fronts to replace them. For now, we'll see how it goes.

Been tooling around using the LEDs the last few days. I really like the way the red lights follow the contour of the rear of the car. I'll like them better once I reprogram the ambers to flash instead of roll. Just waiting for the programmer so I can do it.

Not for $2100. I'm going to do the Morimoto LED mod for at least my low beams. $110 for the bulbs.

Are you going to do the low-beam upgrade from Arc-Light, if not the quads? No doubt he does excellent, high-quality work, just look at the tails and bumper lights. But almost $2100 for the quad fronts? I'd rather spend the $110 shipped on the LED low-beams, and I can buy a hole saw attachment for my drill for a few bucks to do the cut. Looks pretty easy to me and is easier than doing the rear LEDs (that was a BIG job, won't be doing that again). I can then spend the remaining $2000 on something else.

Arc-Light just dropped the quads to $1500. Now I have a decision to make. I see you went for the quads.

Bob, I bought the 2stroke morimoto (assuming those are the led you're referring to?) LED for the fogs on the V. I can tell you I'm impressed with quality and light output.
If you buy through The Retrofit Source they had a coupon code of 20% off using STEADYMOBBIN
I bought those and the Osram CBI at a substantial discount with free shipping.

Those are the LEDs I'm looking at. With that discount, that's only $102 for the bulbs and hardware. For that little, it's worth a try and if it doesn't work out, I can still try the more expensive HID retrofit. Thanks for the tip on the discount!
I'm looking forward to your progress. If it works out for you, I will consider spending the coin. In the meantime, I'm going to save a little and experiment with what I can get out of the LEDs.

Indeed. For me, it'd have to be a winter project since the lights have to be shipped out. My NSX spent a month down this summer waiting for lights, and I am now making up for lost time. I'll be putting the car away for the winter upon my return from NSXPO next month. My plan is to install the LEDs in the next week or two, so I have ample opportunity to test.
Are you going to NSXPO, by the way? You're lucky in that you live close enough to the Amtrak Auto-Train to allow that to carry your car down. For me, it'd just take me too far out of the way, so I'm just going to drive my NSX down.

anytime, my friend...
I am extremely impressed with them...I'm contemplating replacing the HID retrofit I did on my wife's SRX now because I like the simplicity of the LED bulbs.
Also kinda nice to not need to fool around with a relay...not that that's so difficult but it adds another point of failure!

Teasing another mod, for which I'm in negotiation. Suffice to say, let's just say that @p.diddy has been a bad example to follow. Fingers crossed.

Used Whipple (ie old) Comptech supercharger. This setup came with an AEM V2, 550cc injectors, and both low and high boost pulleys. Plan is to run low boost with a tune to the AEM rather than the stock Comptech fueling solution. Using the AEM should help with the CTSC’s tendency toward heat soak with assertive use.
Can’t wait to get it on the car!

Previous owner got 367 whp on high boost setup, 325 whp on low boost in hot weather. I’m expecting around 350 given I’m going to be using bigger injectors and and AEM V2, but we’ll see. I need to get a baseline dyno at some point so I know what I’m starting from, which is more important.

Definitely don't go high boost unless you add supporting items like meth injection.
It's going to run hot. Definitely get a conservative tune.
And just FYI.. boost may not kill it, but if somethings not 100%, it'll be sure to bring it to an early death.

Those SC kits are pretty tried and tested, for the NSX. Bob isn't risking much. Yes, it'll all come down to the tune.
Though if he does blow the engine... good luck finding another.

C32... the NSX had an exclusive engine, all to itself.
