wheels next

just dropped the 3.0 recently on ground controls. looking for wheel ideas. I had a bid on ebay for some white 16x7 BBS RS wheels, but was outrageously outbid at the end. now i'm glad i didnt get them, though. so now i'm starting the search again.

i have a few in my mind at the moment, but i'd like some input.

i'm leaning toward these 16x8 0 offset XXR 513 wheels.

if i were to run these, it'd be like this, https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-cl-photograph-gallery-57/late-night-pics-731381/
but i would try and go a little lower.

i'm also thinking of Rota D2's like this CL is running

if i were to get those, i'd go for 17's; either 7.5 or 8 in width & in a lower offset if i could. with whatever wheels i end up getting, i'd like to run a low profile tire with some stretch.

i want a relatively flusher fitment, so i'd rather steer away from high offset wheels...no sunken please haha! so if anyone has any suggestions on good fitting wheels/tires/whatever, shoot em my way

yeah i had pink ones on the coupe and gold on the teg... and i never get sick of them haha. but i think i'd want a wider wheel for the CL. if i could get gt3 style spokes with a wider lip i'd be all over it. thats why i think i like the XXR's. the spoke design is pretty good with the CL's lines, and its wide enough to not be sunken.

i like the xxr fitment, but i just think those spoke patterns look too old school for CL.

yeah, i know a lot of datsuns, ae86's, & miatas run them for that look, but i came across this yaris that definetly isnt going for an old school look, and pulls these wheels off nicely.

well theres a dude on here running 0 offset sportmax's without clearance issue. he pm'd me and said the only problem is tire rubbing...but thats nothing big deal. i think that the +10's 9if i can remember correctly) on that integra would be okay. check out rimtuck.com

^dooo ettt.... but on a cl it might not tuck as much
i just tried some 17x8 +25 on the rear of the cl with 235/40's and the only way it would fit is if i cut/rolled the fenders
so good luck
and please stop calling everybody's wheels rotas, some ppl get offended since some of them pay the big money for real wheels, not knockoffs

i'm not sure. im thinking i might do a less agressive offset..we'll see. and i only called the professors rotas...since the picture is small as fuck. and yea, i know how people get with their wheels...no need to preach. i've seen some of the rarest of schmidts, bbr's, and compomotives on buddys' cars...i know the drill when it comes to wheels i myself though, couldnt give a shit whats what as long as it looks good.

You should find thelowest price possible on wheelsnext, and then go to a town fair tire if there is one near you, because they will pricematch and beat the price.
